| Ford and Lincoln were leaders in luxury, style, and innovation during the 1955-1966 era. The introduction of the 1955 Thunderbird forced Chevrolet to respond with a V8 under the hood of their 1955 Corvette, while the incredible 1956 Lincoln Continental Mark II set a standard for quality unsurpassed in American automotive history. In 1957, innovative retractable hardtops debuted on the Ford Skyliner, and in 1958 the world saw the introduction of the highly underrated Edsel, a car with style and grace, but was soon cast into the "failure" category as the infamous Edsel 'horse collar' grille never caught on with the public. This jam-packed DVD contains over 2 hours of original Ford TV commercials and promotional films created during the wonderful 1955-1966 era. Clips vary from 30 seconds to 10 minutes in length. |
